What happens in a session?
Psychotherapy/counselling sessions are either in-person at my therapy room or online via Teams. You can contact me via email or WhatsApp to book your first session.
I use an integrative therapeutic approach adopting elements with a main focused on psychodynamic therapy. Sessions are adapted depending on the needs of the client and can be explored as part of the discovery call.
During our initial session, we’ll explore what it is that brought you to counselling/therapy and what support you might need; you don’t need to know the answers – often not knowing the answer is a place to start.
With help from me, we will challenge and reflect on certain ideas you may have and aspects of your life to help you move forward in a way that works for you. I can help you to figure out what you’re feeling or wanting and ultimately only you are the expert on you, so the sessions are for you to take up as much space you need.
Sessions are confidential, allowing you to explore your thoughts and feelings privately in a safe space.
Examples of areas I work in: Identity, ADHD, Autism, acceptance, eating disorders, body image/dysmorphia, PTSD, trauma, low self-esteem, pain, relationships, anxiety, depression, LGBTQ+. I also work with neurotypical clients and the families and loved ones supporting neurodivergent individuals
